Are you frustrated in your search for legitimate drop shipping wholesalers?  I was too – you see I was making OK money selling odds and ends on eBay.  But I wanted to find dropshippers to take my eBay income to the next level.

The problem is that most legitimate drop shipping wholesalers don’t advertise.  Some of the ads you see for this type of service online are scams.  They act as a middleman – passing your order on to the real dropshippers and taking a cut along the way.  This cuts into already thin margins.  Basically, I could not make a profit on eBay using these services.

The key is to find the real dropshippers.  You know they are real if they ask for a resale certificate (you get this from your state).    The problem is finding legitimate dropshippers.  One of the sites I like for this is Salehoo.com.  They have a great directory of drop shippers, light bulk and bulk wholesalers.  But the forum alone is worth the membership.

When it comes to directories of drop shippers there are really two main competitors.  The first is World Wide Brands.   These guys are the granddaddy of the industry.  I think they were first and they definitely have the largest database of drop shippers (over 8,000 including light bulk and regular wholesalers).  As you might expect they are also the most expensive ($299 for lifetime membership).  But, in my opinion worth every penny because if you can’t find a drop shipper there, they probably don’t exist.  They have some great educational resources, so even if you don’t buy you should check them out.

Salehoo also has about 8,000 entries in its database.  But they seem to have more light bulk and regular wholesalers than World Wide Brands.  To me the real value of Salehoo are the forums.  Seriously, these have saved me a ton of time and money.  If you want to get an idea of how well a product will do on eBay or selling on your own site, just ask.  Want to find out if a supplier is any good, just ask.  Looking for a hard to find product, just ask.

Salehoo is less expensive than WWB at only $147  for lifetime membership.  I would gladly pay that much per month just to access the forums.
